The music player came about as a request from the marketing department to be able to more easily play and download the ringtones on the Wizard 101 site. It needed to be able to be easy to update and be displayable in a compact mode so that it could fit in tight areas, if necessary.

I'm quite pleased with how the music player turned out. As with the other applications on the site, it can be easily changed around with a few javascript settings. You can set the titles with limited html, group the music into categories and display it in a compact mode. I worked very hard to make sure that this utility would be able to be reused across different sites and themes. It's set up so that the graphics and the layout are completely set up from and external library. This keeps the main functionality in a very small download that can be used over and over.
